Center History in Lynchburg, Virginia
2016 Professional Achievement Award presented by the Beard Center on Aging at Lynchburg College, awarded Raspberry Hill Adult Daytime Center the Outstanding Contribution to Positive Aging in Region 2000 award! We are members of Lynchburg Regional Business Alliance and Bedford Chamber of Commerce. Our center is licensed by Department of Social Services and has undergone extensive approvals through Fire Department and Health Department.
Awarded for being an exemplary leader for other gerontological professionals, demonstrating a commitment toward quality care, education, and quality of life for the aging community and their caregivers, also proves to be a positive role model of outstanding achievement in the field of aging.
Team Biographies
We welcome you to Raspberry Hill Adult Day Time Center, family owned and operated! We are the Archer Family, born and raised in Virginia. Raspberry Hill was established in 2012 and started as an addition to our home in Forest. We have a new location in Forest currently across Fink’s in Forest VA! This will better meet the needs of the growing community! We serve Forest, Lynchburg, Campbell County, Bedford County!
Both owners are Registered Nurse’s with combined Nursing experience of 28 years! We both are Certified Dementia Practitioners and have older adult experience and specialize in Memory Care serving mild to moderate dementia participants and chronic health issues.
During our earlier years we worked alongside nurses as nursing assistants. Throughout our working career we have taken care of the elderly population in a Nursing home setting and in a Hospital setting. Eddie specializes in the medical surgical floors working throughout two hospitals located in Lynchburg further enhancing his skills, knowledge and experience with the aging population. Our experience comes from working for 20 years in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Med-Surg, Acute Rehab, Diabetic Nursing, Medical Pulmonary and currently Full-time in Healthcare Training and our lovely Daytime Center!
